Hi, I’m Sami — Owner of Sum It Up Bookkeeping

After more than 20 years working in financial services, I launched Sum It Up Bookkeeping to help small business owners feel organized, confident, and less stressed about their finances.

I work with entrepreneurs, contractors, and service-based businesses who want accurate bookkeeping, reliable payroll, and clear financial insight. My approach is detail-oriented, dependable, and collaborative, because your books should support your business, not overwhelm it.

While I now live in Colorado, I continue to proudly serve clients in Washington State and beyond. Having worked with Washington businesses for years, I’m very familiar with the state’s unique reporting requirements, including B&O tax, excise filings, and the bookkeeping considerations that come with operating in Washington’s tax structure. My remote-first systems allow me to provide consistent, responsive support regardless of location, and my small team includes support in Washington as well.

I genuinely enjoy building long-term relationships with my clients and becoming a trusted part of their business support team.

When I'm not busy helping small businesses succeed

Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, spending time outdoors, exploring nature, and pursuing creative interests that keep life balanced and energized.
